New Jersey Investigator of the Year Award Goes to Bob Rahn and Kim Anklin

NJ Investigator of the Year Award, Management Resources

On Tuesday, June 3, 2014, Management Resources LTD of NY principals, Bob Rahn and Kim Anklin, received the highest award from the New Jersey Licensed Private Investigators Association, the 2014 Investigator of the Year Award, given during the NJLPIA annual golf and awards dinner held at Mountain View Country Club in Ewing, NJ with investigators from several surrounding states in attendance.

Rahn and Anklin made recent national headlines for their exemplary investigative work in the Jonathan Fleming wrongful conviction case in Brooklyn, NY.  They uncovered the evidence that convinced the Conviction Integrity Unit to invite them into their investigation.  Rahn and Anklin re-interviewed witnesses, visited the crime scene, and uncovered new witnesses which ultimately lead the Conviction Integrity Unit to find evidence in their own files which was there all along. This lead to Fleming’s charges being dismissed by Kings County District Attorney, Kenneth Thompson.

“…… As a result of their persistent efforts over the course of the last year, these talented private investigators helped exonerate a wrongfully convicted prisoner after 25 years of incarceration. They took on a case with a minimal retainer and invested hundreds of man hours to help free an innocent man. They took on the case knowing that they might never be paid for all their efforts, yet they used their investigative skills to prove and correct a major wrong.

As a result of their investigation, Jonathan Fleming was freed on April 8, 2014 and the story made all the major national and international media outlets showing pictures and video of Bob and Kim at Mr. Fleming’s side. Their efforts showed the world what professional investigators can do and they truly represented the entire profession in an admirable and professional manner. We are honored that these two not only represented the profession, but also are members of our association”……Jimmie Mesis, PI Magazine Editor in Chief

Rahn and Anklin have been fielding numerous calls from others incarcerated and claiming to be wrongfully convicted. Each case needs to be assessed thoroughly, but funding is an issue. It’s hoped their affiliation with the Investigating Innocence organization will help with funding many of these case investigations and, ultimately, lead to justice renewed for others wrongly incarcerated.

Along with wrongful conviction cases, Management Resources works with attorneys investigating personal injury, malpractice, matrimonial, fraud and executive protection.
